OEM Speedometer Pinion 1970-83 (240Z / 260Z / 280Z / 280ZX)

Choosing the right speedometer pinion is very important. 

One size too large or small will cause your speedometer to give an incorrect reading. 

Fortunately, Nissan gave us two ways to identify the gear in your car: 

Tooth count and Color:
 
Black = 17 Tooth 
Blue  = 18 Tooth 
White = 19 Tooth 
Red   = 20 Tooth
